The Eight Hour Pre-Assignment:
Tuesdays - $30.00
The first required security guard training course is the Eight Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course. This course must be successfully completed by all those wishing to work as a Security Guard. This course is a universal/introductory course. Guards are issued a certificate on completion and are registered in Albany

This class will help you prepare for the Certificate of Fitness
Exam F-00, which includes: Fire Guard for Shelters (F-44); Fire
Guard for Hotels/Motels and Office Buildings (F- 91); Fire Guard
for Boatyards/Marinas and To Supervise Boatyards/Marinas; Fire Guard
for Field Construction Sites and For Torch Operations; and Fire
Guard for Places of Public Assembly and For Film Studios.
The 16 Hour On-the-Job Training Course:
Thursday and Fridays - $65.00
The second security guard training course is the 16 Hour On the Job Training Course (OJT). This course is designed so that it is relevant to the specific duties of a guard, requirement of the work site and the needs of the employer. This course is recommended to be completed within 90 days of the Eight Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course.
The Eight Hour Annual In Service Course
Sundays - $35.00
The third required security guard training course is the Eight Hour Annual In Service Course. This is an ongoing requirement for continued security employment that must be completed each calendar year following the completion of the 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Course.
